Overview

Use View INI File to view the MAS90.INI file currently using the video monitor. The current version of this file is shown in its "raw" form. The MAS90.INI file is a standard Windows .INI file with groups and items. Each printer is considered a group. Settings for the printer from Device Configurator (for example, printer type, lines per page, CR mode, and PTON mode) are stored as items under that group.

The location of the printer selected for the form is retained if the form was printed from a module running in graphical mode. This file is stored by workstation ID "nnn" by form name, form code, and company code. The settings in MAS90nnn.INI are used as defaults for subsequent printings of the form.

When you access Device Configurator, the configuration files are backed up to six files named MAS90.IN1, MAS90.IN2, etc. If an error occurs while you are modifying a device or printer configuration that could potentially damage your MAS90.INI file, you can use one of these backup files to restore the MAS90.INI file; MAS90.IN1 is the newest file, and MAS90.IN6 is the oldest. When you maintain or configure local printers, you are maintaining the local workstation’s configuration file, or MAS90nnn.INI (where nnn represents the workstation ID number). Backups are created in the same fashion as for the MAS90.INI file.
