Copy, Move, and Relink Files

Use the following procedure to copy or move memo attachments, Office templates, and Paperless Office PDFs, and correct broken links to attachments, templates, and PDFs using the Link Maintenance Utility.

Note The Relink Files button is available only if the link path is broken. The files appear in red when the link is broken.

You must have the appropriate security setup to access Link Maintenance Utility.

 

To copy, move, and relink files

  1. Select Library Master Utilities menu > Link Maintenance Utility.

  2. In the Link Type field, select the link type. For more information, see Link Maintenance Utility - Fields.

  1. In the Company Code field, enter the company code, or click the Lookup button to list all company codes.

Note You must select ALL to display Office templates.

  1. In the Module Code field, enter the module code, or click the Lookup button to list all module codes.

Note You must select ALL or SYS to display Office templates.

  1. Click Refresh.

  2. In the List Box, select the file(s) that you want to copy, move, or correct a broken link path for. The Copy and Move buttons are available only if the link paths are not broken for all files selected.

  1. To copy the files, click the Copy button.

  2. To move the files, click the Move button.

  1. To correct a broken link path, click the Relink button.

  1. In the Copy / Move / Relink Files window, enter a new location for the files, or click the Browse button to browse to a new location. For more information, see Copy / Move / Relink Files - Fields.

  2. Click OK.

  3. When prompted to copy, move, or relink the file(s) selected, click Yes.

The selected files are copied, moved, or relinked to their new location. The System Activity Log is updated with date, time, company code, module, user logon, and a description that changes were made using Link Maintenance Utility.
