Item Pricing Maintenance

Item Code

Enter an item code representing the item to add or maintain, or click the Lookup button to list all item codes. Click the Search button to list all inventory items.

 

Description

Type a description for the item.

 

Takeoff U/M

Select the unit of measure to be taken off for the item code.

 

Item Type

Select an Item for an individual item type. Select Assembly if the item is an assembly item consisting of up to 12 individual items.

Note  After the item code is assigned an assembly item type, it cannot be changed to an individual item type. To change the item type, you must delete the item code and reenter it.

 

Cost Code

Enter the cost code to be used for the item code, or click the Lookup button to list all cost codes.

 

Item/Description

Enter an individual item code or a miscellaneous description, or click the Lookup button to list all item codes. Click the Search button to list all inventory items.

This field is available only if Assembly is selected in the Item Type field.

Note  You cannot enter an assembly item as an item for another assembly.

 

Cost Type

Select the cost type (Labor, Material, etc.) to identify the type of cost the item represents.

 

U/M

Type the unit of measure by which the unit cost is expressed for the item.

This field is available only if Assembly is selected in the Item Type field or if an inventory item number is not entered at the Item Code field. The "take off" unit of measure can only be viewed.

 

Factor

Enter the numerical factor by which the "take off" unit of measure will be multiplied or divided in order to convert to the costing unit of measure. Type / preceding a number to indicate that the factor will be divided by the number (for example, /4). This field is available only if Assembly is selected in the Item Type field.

Unit Cost

Type the unit cost associated with the costing unit of measure (U/M) specified for the item. You can type two to four decimal places depending on your selection in the Number of Decimal Places in Cost Entries field in the Job Cost Options window.

 

Markup Method

Select the markup method to use.

 

Markup

Type the percentage or dollar amount of the markup. Type a positive number if the cost is to be increased, or type a negative number if the cost is to be decreased. This field is available only if Percent or Dollar is selected in the Markup Method field.

 

Unit Price

Type the override price per unit to be used for the item. You can type from two to four decimal places depending on your selection in the Number of Decimal Places in Price Entries field in the Job Cost Options window. This field is available only if Override is selected in the Markup Method field.
