URL Code

Type a URL code for the server. The code entered can be up to 30 characters long. There are five default URL codes that are required and cannot be deleted.

SAGEAU is used to check for new updates available for download.

SAGEPEP is used to upload data collected during normal use of the software. Statistical data, module option fields, and specific user messages data is collected. It works behind the scenes to collect non-sensitive data about how a customer uses the software and their environment configuration.

SAGEPAY is used to connect to the synchronization server to upload and download data from the Sage Payroll Services Web application.

Description

Type a description for the URL, up to 30 characters long.

Time Out

Type a four-digit time-out value for the URL.

Port

Type a five-digit port number between 00000 and 65535.

Proxy Server

If you use a proxy server, select this check box and type a URL, user ID, and password for the proxy server in the Proxy Server URL, User ID, and Password fields.

URL

Type the URL for the server. The URLs can be up to 500 characters long. An entry is required in this field. The URL for SAGEPAY, SAGEPEP, and SAGEAU are already defined.

Proxy Server URL

Type the URL for the proxy server. The URL can be up to 500 characters long. This field is available only if the Proxy Server check box is selected.

User ID

Type the user ID for the proxy server. The user ID can be up to 50 characters long. This field is available only if the Proxy Server check box is selected.

Password

Type the password for the proxy server. The password can be up to 50 characters long. This field is available only if the Proxy Server check box is selected.
