The Deduction Register lists all voluntary deductions for the current pay period by deduction code. The register is usually produced as an audit report after completion of payroll data entry. It is used for reporting union dues, credit union contributions, and other voluntary deductions.
Note Print the Deduction Register before updating the Check Register; this information is cleared during the update.
If any deduction codes for pension plans or cafeteria plans are entered in Payroll Data Entry, a message appears asking if you want to print the Pension Plan Deduction Register. This register provides the gross wages, deduction amount, and percentage of gross information for each employee for whom pension plan deductions are taken.
