Enter the numeric mask to determine how the amounts will print. Enter the mask by entering a pound sign (#) to indicate the positions of numbers, and to indicate the placement of commas (,) and a dollar sign ($) to print these characters in the dollar amounts.
To print zero-filled dollar amounts (for example, to print 03.50 instead of 3.50), enter a zero as the placeholder for numbers, instead of the pound sign. To hold the placement of decimal amounts, enter .00 (for example, $###.00). To fill any unused positions in the mask with asterisks, enter an asterisk (*) in the first position of the mask (for example, enter *#,###,###.00- to print *****1,000.00*).
