State and Local Tax Summary

State

Enter the state tax code representing the state to display tax summary information for. Click the Lookup button to list all state tax codes for the current employee.

 

Local

Before entering the local tax code, enter the state tax code in the State field representing the state in which the local jurisdiction exists. The state tax code must be on file for this employee before the local tax code within that state can be entered. Enter the local tax code, or click the Lookup button to list all local tax codes for the state tax code entered.

Gross Wages

Type the quarter-to-date and total year-to-date amounts of gross wages paid to this employee. The information in this field is adjusted automatically as each payroll is processed. This field is available only after the Fix button is clicked and you have the appropriate security setup.

 

Withholding

Type the quarter-to-date and total year-to-date amounts subject to withholding tax. The information in this field is adjusted automatically as each payroll is processed. This field is available only after the Fix button is clicked and you have the appropriate security setup.

 

Employee SDI (Wages)

Type the quarter-to-date and total year-to-date amounts subject to SDI taxes. The information in this field is adjusted automatically as each payroll is processed. This field is available only after the Fix button is clicked and you have the appropriate security setup.

 

Employee SUI (Wages)

Type the quarter-to-date and total year-to-date amounts subject to SUI taxes. The information in this field is adjusted automatically as each payroll is processed. This field is available only after the Fix button is clicked and you have the appropriate security setup.

 

Unemployment

Type the quarter-to-date and total year-to-date amounts subject to unemployment insurance. The information in this field is adjusted automatically as each payroll is processed. This field is available only after the Fix button is clicked and you have the appropriate security setup.

 

Tips Reported

Type the quarter-to-date and total year-to-date amounts of tips reported. The information in this field is adjusted automatically as each payroll is processed. This field is available only after the Fix button is clicked and you have the appropriate security setup.

 

Tips Deemed

Type the quarter-to-date and total year-to-date amounts of tips deemed to be wages. The information in this field is adjusted automatically as each payroll is processed. This field is available only after the Fix button is clicked and you have the appropriate security setup.

 

Withholding (Payroll Taxes)

Type the quarter-to-date and total year-to-date amounts withholding taxes. The information in this field is adjusted automatically as each payroll is processed. This field is available only after the Fix button is clicked and you have the appropriate security setup.

 

Employee SDI (Payroll Taxes)

Type the quarter-to-date and total year-to-date amounts subject to SDI taxes. The information in this field is adjusted automatically as each payroll is processed. This field is available only after the Fix button is clicked and you have the appropriate security setup.

 

Employee SUI (Payroll Taxes)

Type the quarter-to-date and total year-to-date amounts subject to SUI taxes. The information in this field is adjusted automatically as each payroll is processed. This field is available only after the Fix button is clicked and you have the appropriate security setup.

 

Hours Worked

Enter the quarter-to-date and year-to-date totals representing the number of hours worked by this employee. The information in this field is adjusted automatically as each payroll is processed.

 

Days Worked

Enter the quarter-to-date and year-to-date totals representing the number of days worked by this employee. The information in this field is adjusted automatically as each payroll is processed.

 

Weeks Worked

Enter the quarter-to-date and year-to-date totals representing the number of weeks worked by this employee. The information in this field is adjusted automatically as each payroll is processed.

Note Some states have established a minimum earnings amount below which the Weeks Worked field is not updated (for example, California and Pennsylvania).
