Federal/State eFiling and Reporting

 

Federal

Select this option to print federal earnings and tax information. If this option is selected, a list of federal forms appears.

 

State

Select this option and select the applicable state to print state earnings and tax information. If this option is selected, a list of applicable state forms appears.

 

Existing Reports

Select this option to print reports previously printed or filed.

 

Form List Box

Select the form to print. If the Federal option is selected, this field displays all federal forms. If the State option is selected, this field displays all forms applicable to the state selected.

 

Period

This field displays the current period based on the form selected and can only be viewed.

 

Year

Type the current Payroll fiscal period.

 

Quarter

Select the current Payroll fiscal quarter. This field is available only if the applicable form is selected in the Form list box.

 

Name

Type your company's name. This field defaults to the company name entered in Company Maintenance.

 

Address

Type your company's street address. This field defaults to the street address entered in Company Maintenance.

 

City

Type the city for your company address. This field defaults to the city entered in Company Maintenance.

 

State

Type the state abbreviation for your company address. This field defaults to the state entered in Company Maintenance.

 

ZIP Code

Type the ZIP Code for your company address. This field defaults to the ZIP Code entered in Company Maintenance.

 

Federal ID No.

Type your federal identification number. This field defaults to the federal identification number entered in Tax Table Maintenance.

 

State ID No.

Type your state identification number. This field defaults to the state identification number entered in Tax Table Maintenance.

 

Telephone

Type your company's telephone number, starting with the area code. This field defaults to the telephone number entered in Company Maintenance.

 

Fax

Type your company's fax number, starting with the area code. This field defaults to the fax number entered in Company Maintenance.

 

Trade Name

Type your company's trade name if it is different from the company name. This field defaults to the trade name entered in Company Maintenance.

Note A trade name is a name that is used to identify a product or service. Also known as business name or brand name. In general, the trade name is the name under which your company does its business.

 

Date

Enter a range of dates. These fields are available only if the applicable form is selected in the Form list box; they are automatically populated for annual and quarterly forms.

 

Employee No.

Enter a range of dates. These fields are available only if the applicable form is selected in the Form list box; they are automatically populated for annual and quarterly forms.

 

Kind of Employer

Select the kind of employer for your business.

Note This field is available only if the W-2 SSA form is selected in the Form field.

 

Misc Earnings Code 1 and 2

Enter up to two earnings codes for which to print year-to-date earnings information, or click the Lookup button to list all earnings codes. The related earnings information will print in Box 14 on the W-2 forms for all selected employees. This field is available only if the W-2 SSA form is selected in the Form list box.

Note If you reprint W-2 forms at a later time, you must enter the same earnings code to print the same information on the forms.

Note Before printing W-2 forms, ensure that the appropriate description appears in the Box 14 column in the State/Federal eFiling and Reporting W2/1099 Preparer window.

 

Misc Deduction Code 1 and 2

Enter up to two deduction codes for which to print year-to-date deduction information, or click the Lookup button to list all deduction codes. The related deduction information will print in Box 14 on the W-2 forms for all selected employees. This field is available only if the W-2 SSA form is selected in the Form list box.

Note If you reprint W-2 forms at a later time, you must enter the same deduction code to print the same information on the forms.

Note Before printing W-2 forms, ensure that the appropriate description appears in the Box 14 column in the State/Federal eFiling and Reporting W2/1099 Preparer window.
