Select Payroll Setup menu > Deduction Code Maintenance. In the Deduction Code Maintenance window, click Taxes.

Overview

Use Reduce Taxable Income to display the federal, state, and local taxes for a pension plan or cafeteria plan deduction code. Use this window to indicate whether the taxable income is reduced as a result of the deduction.

Note The deduction can reduce the taxable income only if the earnings code used with the deduction code is subject to the tax.
