Track a Customer's Last Purchase

Expand/Collapse item  Overview

Use this procedure to track customer purchases, including the last quoted price, last sales order price and last invoice sale price for any item. If this information is retained, you can view the last purchase made by a customer during sales order and invoice data entry.

 

To track a customer's last purchase

  1. Select Sales Order Setup menu > Sales Order Options.

  2. Click the History tab. At the Retain Customer Last Purchase History field, select how you would like to track history. For more information, see Sales Order Options - Fields.

  3. Select Sales Order Setup menu > Customer Last Purchase Maintenance.

  4. Enter the customer number for which you want to view last purchase information. You can view and maintain item purchase history information for customers. For more information, see Customer Last Purchase Maintenance - Fields.

Expand/Collapse item To clear customer last purchase information

Click Clear. The Clear Customer Last Purchase History window appears, allowing you to select the information to clear. For more information, see Clear Customer Purchase History.

 

Expand/Collapse item To automatically rebuild the Customer Last Purchase History file from the Sales Order history files

Click Rebuild. A message appears asking if you want to rebuild from Orders/History. Click Yes.

 

Based on your selection in the Retain Customer Last Purchase History field in the Sales Order Options window, you can view customer last purchase information on the Sales Order Entry and Invoice Data Entry Lines tab by clicking the Customer Last Purchase History button in the button bar.
