To process salaried employees through TimeCard

  1. Salaried employees can be processed through TimeCard. Because there is no limit to the number of hours that can be entered for an employee in TimeCard Entry and Edit and TimeCard Entry - New Entries Only, it is possible to exceed 40 hours for an employee. For this reason, you may want to clear the Disable Display of Weekly Hours Worked check box in TimeCard & TimeClock Options. For more information, see TimeCard & TimeClock Options - Fields.

  2. To track all employees' time through TimeCard for reporting purposes without exceeding 40 hours of pay for an employee, use either the Salary Equalization utility in TimeCard Utilities or use an earnings code with a zero multiplier for any entries that exceed 40 hours. You can use "SO" as an earnings code for "Salaried Overtime." These entries will still appear on an employee's check.
