Expand/Collapse item  Example 1

The last aging date on the customer masterfile record is 5/1/06 and the system date is 5/31/06.

  • If you print the aging report for 4/15/06, the update of the aging columns will not occur since 4/15 is earlier than 5/1 and 5/31.

  • If you print the aging report for 5/10/06, the update of the aging columns will occur since 5/10 is later than 5/1.

  • If you print the aging report for 6/1/06, the update of the aging columns will occur since 6/1 is later than 5/1.

Expand or collapse item  Example 2

The last aging date on the customer masterfile record is 7/1/06 and the system date is 5/31/06.

  • If you print the aging report for 4/15/06, the update of the aging columns will not occur since 4/15 is earlier than 7/1 and 5/31.

  • If you print the aging report for 5/10/06, the update of the aging columns will not occur since 5/10 is earlier than 7/1 and 5/31.

  • If you print the aging report for 6/1/06, the update of the aging columns will occur since 6/1 is later than or equal to 5/31.

The aging bucket amounts are derived when the customer record is first displayed in the Customer Maintenance window. The Recalculate Aging function is only performed when you display a customer record in the Customer Maintenance window. If a transaction is posted for that customer after the customer record has been displayed or recalculate aging occurs, the transaction posted will not be reflected in the aging totals. You must navigate away from, then back on to the customer record to view the updated totals.
