Recalculating aging information can be done automatically before credit limit checking is performed, or based on a specified number of days compared to the last time the aging information was updated.

You can also choose to automatically recalculate aging by selecting Always or By Number of Days in the Automatically Recalculate Aging field in the Accounts Receivable Options window. This feature applies to the following data entry tasks:

  • Accounts Receivable Invoice Data Entry

  • Sales Order Invoice Data Entry

  • Sales Order Entry

  • Job Cost Billing Data Entry

  • RMA Data Entry and RMA Receipts Entry

 

To recalculate aging

  1. In the Accounts Receivable Options window, define how you want the aging information to be calculated and displayed. For more information, see Accounts Receivable Options – Fields.

  2. Access the Recalc Aging feature using one of the following methods:

  3. Select Accounts Receivable Main menu > Customer Maintenance. On the Statistics tab, click the Recalc Aging button.

  4. Select Accounts Receivable Main menu > Customer Maintenance. On the Invoices tab, click the Recalc Aging button.

  5. Select Accounts Receivable Main menu > Invoice Data Entry. In the Invoice Data Entry window, enter a customer number and then click Credit. In the Customer Credit History window, click Recalc Aging.

The aging information is recalculated either automatically or based on a specific number of days compared to the last time the aging information was updated.
