In Bill of Materials Maintenance, enter a bill number that does not exist in the Item file.
The Bill Type window appears only if the appropriate security is set up to allow addition of new items in the Bill of Materials Maintenance window; otherwise, the Bill Type field defaults to Phantom in the Bill of Materials Maintenance window if the Allow Phantom Bills check box is selected in the Bill of Materials Options window. If security is set up to allow addition of new items and the Allow Phantom Bills check box is cleared in Bill of Materials Options, the Bill Type dialog box does not appear and the Bill Type field defaults to Inactive.
