Follow this procedure to connect a bank to Sage Bank Feeds.

Note You'll need the credentials that you use to sign in for online banking.

Expand/Collapse item  Before You Begin

Sage Bank Feeds uses the ZIP Code entered in System Configuration to determine which banks to display in the Popular Banks list. (You can search for any bank if yours isn't listed.) If there is no ZIP Code entered, you'll see a message asking you to verify the information entered in System Configuration.

To enter the ZIP Code:

  1. Select Library Master Setup menu > System Configuration.
  2. On the Registration tab, in the ZIP Code field, enter your company's ZIP Code. For more information, see System Configuration - Fields.

To connect the first bank to Sage Bank Feeds

Follow these steps if no other banks in your company are connected to Sage Bank Feeds. If you've already connected another bank, see To connect additional banks to Sage Bank Feeds below.

  1. Select Bank Reconciliation Main menu > Bank Code Maintenance.
  2. In the Bank Code field, enter the code for the bank that you want to connect. For more information, see Bank Code Maintenance - Fields.
  3. Click the arrow button in the top-right corner, and select Connect Bank Feeds.

    Note The Connect Bank Feeds option appears only if you access Bank Code Maintenance through the Bank Reconciliation menu.

  4. In the Sage Bank Feeds Welcome screen, enter the email address that you want to use for Sage Bank Feeds.

    This email address may be used to send communications related to Sage Bank Feeds. It will appear in the Sage Bank Feeds E-mail field in System Configuration, but if you need to change it in the future, please contact Sage Customer Support.

  5. Review the terms and conditions, and then select the check box indicating that you accept them.
  6. Click Get Started and proceed through the wizard. You'll be asked to select your bank, enter your sign-in credentials, and enter the start date for importing transactions.

You can now import bank transactions for this bank in Check, Deposit and Adjustment Entry.

Note The service used to sync with your bank will use the provided sign-in credentials to retrieve transactions multiple times throughout the day. If you ever need to change your sign-in ID or password for the bank, first disconnect the bank from Sage Bank Feeds in Bank Code Maintenance by clicking the arrow button in the top-right corner and selecting Disconnect Bank Feeds. After you've updated your sign-in credentials, use them to reconnect the bank to Sage Bank Feeds.

 

To connect additional banks to Sage Bank Feeds

After you've connected the first bank to Sage Bank Feeds, there are fewer steps to connect additional banks.

  1. Select Bank Reconciliation Main menu > Bank Code Maintenance.
  2. In the Bank Code field, enter the code for the bank that you want to connect.
  3. Click the arrow next to the More button, and select Connect Bank Feeds.

    Note The Connect Bank Feeds option appears only if you access Bank Code Maintenance through the Bank Reconciliation menu.

  4. Proceed through the wizard to connect the bank. You'll be asked to select your bank, enter your sign-in credentials, and enter the start date for importing transactions.

You can now import bank transactions for this bank in Check, Deposit and Adjustment Entry.
