In any data entry window that allows extended item description, click the Lines tab, and enter an item. Click the Extended Item Description button.

Use Item Text Maintenance to view or maintain extended item descriptions. If an extended description already exists for an item, the Extended Item Description button appears yellow. If an extended item description does not exist, the button appears blue.
Note The Extended Item Description window automatically appears only if you have the appropriate security setup.
