Apply Cost Code Information to Jobs

You can apply new cost tables entered in Cost Code Maintenance to existing jobs.

 

To apply cost codes to jobs

  1. Select Job Cost Setup menu > Cost Code Maintenance.

  2. In the Cost Code field, enter the cost code to create or maintain. For more information, see Cost Code Maintenance - Fields.

  3. Define the cost types to activate, and enter or select the appropriate unit of measurement, Pricing Method, completion method, unit cost, and/or bill rate for each.

Note The bill rate can be applied only if the same unit of measurement and Pricing Method are entered and selected in Cost Code Detail. For more information, see Cost Code Detail.

  1. Click Apply.  

  2. In the Apply Unit Cost and Bill Rate window, in the Data to Apply field, select the type of data to apply to the jobs. For more information, see Apply Unit Cost and Bill Rate - Fields.

  3. Select a range of job numbers to apply the cost code information to. Select a cost type to apply to the selected jobs.

  4. Click OK.

The new cost code information is applied to the jobs selected.
