Job Name

Enter a name for this task scheduling job, or click the Lookup button to list all jobs.

 

Description

Type a description for this task scheduling job.

 

1. Schedule

 

Company Code

Enter the company code for the tasks to be scheduled, or click the Lookup button to list all company codes.

 

Disable Job

Select this check box to disable this job from being processed. Clear this check box to keep the job scheduled. Selecting this check box does not delete the job.

 

Sage 100 User Logon

Enter the Sage 100 user logon, or click the Lookup button to list all users. The user must have security rights to the tasks that are scheduled.

 

Password (Sage 100 User Logon)

Type the Sage 100 user logon password.

Note If the password is changed in Role Maintenance after a job has been created, the job must be updated with the new password. If the password does not match, the job will fail.

 

Windows User Logon

Type the Windows user logon in Sage 100 Standard. Type the server logon in Sage 100 Advanced.

Note The Windows logon may require the domain name if the logon is attached to a different domain.

 

Password (Windows User Logon)

Type the Windows user logon password in Sage 100 Standard. Type the server logon password in Sage 100 Advanced.

NoteIf the password is changed in Windows after a job has been created, the job must be updated with the new password. If the password does not match, the job will fail.

 

Workstation Name

This field displays the workstation name in Sage 100 Standard and the Sage 100 Advanced server name in Sage 100 Advanced, and can only be viewed.

 

Type

Select the type of task that you are scheduling.

 

Schedule Job

Select the occurrence of the job.

 

Start Date

Enter the start date for the job, or click the Calendar button to select a date from the calendar.

 

End Date

Enter the end date for the job, or click the Calendar button to select a date from the calendar.

 

Start Time

Type the time to start the job for each occurrence.

 

Every

Type the time interval for the job. For example, to schedule the job to process every two days, select Daily in the Schedule Job field, and type 2 in this field. This field is available only if Daily or Weekly is selected in the Schedule Job field.

 

Every Month on the

Select the week of the month to process the job. For example, to schedule the job to process every first Monday of the month, select Monthly in the Schedule Job field, select First in this field, and select the Monday check box. This field is available only if Monthly is selected in the Schedule Job field.

 

Days of the Week

Select the day of the week to process the job. Clear a check box to process the job on a different day of the week. These check boxes are available only if Weekly or Monthly is selected in the Schedule Job field. If Monthly is selected in the Schedule Job field, only one check box can be selected.

 

2. Tasks

 

Module

Select the module of the task to be scheduled. This field is available only if Journal/Register or Report is selected in the Type field

 

Task

Select the task to be scheduled. This field is available only if Journal/Register or Report is selected in the Type field

 

Update Date

Select the posting date to use.

  • Select System Date to use the system date as the posting date for the task selected.

  • Select Period End Date to use the period-end date as the posting date for the task selected.

This field is available only if Journal/Register is selected in the Type field.

 

All Batches

Select this check box to process all batches simultaneously for the selected task. Clear this check box to process a specific batch.

This field is available only if Journal/Register is selected in the Type field and batching is enabled in the module's Options window for the selected task.

Note During task processing, only the batches with the status of Available are processed. Any batch with the status of Interrupted or In Use is skipped and not processed. Private batches are processed only if the user entered in the Sage 100 User Logon field has rights to the batches.

 

Batch No.

Enter the batch number to process for the selected task, or click the Lookup button to list all batches.

This field is available only if Journal/Register is selected in the Type field, batching is enabled in the module's Options window for the selected task, and the All Batches check box is cleared.

To update more than one batch for the selected task, but not all batches, select the same module and task in the next row in the grid, and enter the different batch number.

Note During task processing, only the batches with the status of Available are processed. Any batch with the status of Interrupted or In Use is skipped and not processed. Private batches are processed only if the user entered in the Sage 100 User Logon field has rights to the batches.

 

Report Setting

Enter a report setting for the selected report. This field is available only if Report is selected in the Type field.

 

Printer

Select the printer to print the selected tasks. This field is available only if Journal/Register or Report is selected in the Type field.

 

V/I Job Type

Select the Visual Integrator job type. This field is available only if Visual Integrator is selected in the Type field.

 

V/I Job Name

Enter the name of the Visual Integrator job to be scheduled or click the Lookup button to view a list of jobs. This field is available only if Visual Integrator is selected in the Type field.

Note For Sage 100 Advanced and Premium, import files and export file locations used in Visual Integrator jobs must be accessible by the server where Sage 100 is installed.  

 

Description

This field displays the description of the Visual Integrator job and can only be viewed. This field is available only if Visual Integrator is selected in the Type field.
