If Lot or Serial is selected, this field will default to lot or serial respectively, and this field will be unavailable. If Both is selected, you can select Lot, Serial, or Both in this field. If All is selected, you can select Lot, Serial, Both, or All in this field.

Label Form Code

Enter a code to identify the format to use to print labels, or click the Lookup button to list all label form codes. After the form code is entered, enter a description. A separate form code can be established for different label formats. To define a new format, enter a new form code and description. Click Form to customize work order labels.

Tab To

Type the beginning left margin print position. The left margin is tab position 0. Each tab position is equal to the number of characters to the right of the left margin. For example, tab position 5 is five characters to the right of the left margin. This field is available only if the Work Order Labels check box is cleared on the Work Order Options Forms tab.

No. Labels Across Page

Type the number of columns of labels (1, 2, or 3) to print. This field is available only if the Work Order Labels check box is cleared on the Work Order Options Forms tab.

Spaces Between Labels

Enter the number of character spaces to insert horizontally between each label. This field defaults to 0 (zero) and cannot be changed if 1 is entered in the No. Labels Across Page field. This field is available only if the Work Order Labels check box is cleared on the Work Order Options Forms tab.

Note The number of print positions available per line depends on the width of each label and the number of characters per inch (cpi) that your printer prints. You can calculate the total number of print positions by multiplying the width of your label (in inches) by the number of characters per inch that your printer prints. Then subtract a few positions to compensate for margins. For example, printing in compressed print mode (17 cpi on many printers) on a standard 3-1/2" x 15/16" label provides approximately 55 print positions.
