Expand/Collapse item What is the Accounting date?

When you select a module, you are prompted to enter the accounting date. Each module has its own accounting date. The accounting date represents the date and period to which accounting transactions are posted for that module. This is synonymous with the "transaction date" or the "posting date."

The Library Master module, on the other hand, uses the computer's "run time" system date and time.

A common mistake is to misread the accounting date for a module because you may have multiple windows open. When reading the accounting date (found in the status bar of the Desktop), be sure to note the module on the status bar as well.
