A collection of Web templates that perform a series of functions. Applets are designed to be distinct units that can be purchased individually; however, some applets may require other applets to function properly.
The server where the system data files are located. For the purpose of this document, it is assumed that all data files are located on the Application Server. If data files are in an alternate folder on another server, the Application Server must be able to access that server and its data files.
A grouping of Internet-enabled items and charges.
A small piece of information stored on a user's computer that is used when accessing various Web sites in the Internet.
Represents a module master file, such as the Customer and Vendor files, or a major document, such as an invoice or a sales order.
The acronym for file transfer protocol. This protocol is used to access a remote Internet host and then transfer files between the host and your computer.
A link between two HTML documents that points to the URL of the other document.
The acronym for HyperText Markup Language. HTML is used to create platform-independent Web pages.
The acronym for Internet Information Server. The Web server provided by Microsoft that is accessible from the Internet. You can access this server through the URL reserved for a company or the IP address.
The acronym for Internet Protocol address, a 32-bit (4-byte) number that uniquely identifies a host computer connected to the Internet. The IP address is made up of four groups of numbers, each separated by a period (for example, 128.0.0.1). The first 1, 2, or 3 bytes of the IP address, assigned by the Network Information Center (NIC), identify the network to which the host is connected; the remaining bits identify the host itself.
The acronym for Information Server Application Programming Interface, a collection of functions that provide an interface with the IIS.
A reference point defined multiple times in a sequence.
The acronym for Simple Mail Transfer Protocol, a server used to send and receive e-mail messages.
An HTML file marked with ProvideX merge fields that are replaced with data objects when merged with the system data.
Text and number strings that determine the value of a field. Tokens are always assigned to an entity.
The top level or first access point for a group of categories.
A grouping of categories.
User-defined fields that you can create in the Customizer module to add additional information about your customers and vendors that is not provided by the standard Sage 100 forms. After these fields are defined, they can then be added to a form. For more information, see the Customizer Help system.
The server that runs the Web Engine. The eBusiness Manager Web components are installed to this server. HTML templates are merged with the system data to form a dynamic Web page. The resulting Web page is served back to the user requesting the Web page through the IIS. There is no UI (user interface) associated with any programs on this server; it only services and merges Web requests, sends e-mail, performs automatic updates, and performs session cleanup.
