Journals and registers provide a recap of transactions generated in a selection window.

 

To print a journal or register

Note If a register is printed or previewed without being updated, the register number is recorded to history as deleted, and a new register number is used when the register is reprinted.

  1. After transactions have been generated or created, select the journal or register to print from the module's menu structure.

  2. Select the printer output depending if there is a Printer/Output field or Printer Setup button on the window.

  3. In the Printer/Output field located in the lower left corner of the window, select the printer or output method. You can also select alternative printing methods, which are available in the Printer Output field including:

  • Select Deferred to save the report or listing to your hard drive for printing at a future time using Deferred Printing. For more information, see Deferred Printing.

  • Select Export to export to a file type, such as PDF or Excel. The file can then be saved to your hard drive.

  • Select Data Only Export to export only the data portion of the report (excluding header information) to a file type, such as PDF or Excel. The file can then be saved to your hard drive or e-mailed.

    Note This option is available only if the journal or register contains header information.

  1. Click Printer Setup. In the Printer Setup window, select the printer or output type and click OK.

  1. Some journal and register dialog boxes have a Print Full Comments check box. Select this check box if you want to print the full comments on the journal or register. For more information, see Printing Dialog Box (Journals and Registers) - Fields.

  2. Click Print.

The journal or register is printed.
