Expand/Collapse item  Overview

User passwords can be changed for any user currently logged onto the system.

Note You can create a new password for a user, if a password has not yet been created in User Maintenance, by typing a password in the New Password field and typing the same password in the Confirm Password field. In addition, you can remove a password by typing the password in the Old Password field and leaving the New Password and Confirm Password fields blank. The ability to remove a password is available only if the Require all Users to Enter a Password check box is cleared in the System Configuration window.

To change a user password

  1. Select File > Change User Password.

  2. In the Old Password field, type the current password for the user.

  3. In the New Password field, type the new password for the user. For more information, see Change User Password - Fields.

  4. In the Confirm Password field, type the same password that was typed in the New Password field.

  5. Click OK.
