PDF documents must have already been created using Paperless Office.

To search for PDF documents

  1. Open the applicable Paperless Office viewer task for the type of document you are searching for. For example, to search for sales orders, select Paperless Office Main menu > Customer Viewer.

  2. In the viewer window, select the documents to display. Depending on the location you are accessing the viewer from, you can filter the forms by company, document, form type, and document date.

  3. Click the Search button. In the Search for PDF window, select and enter the appropriate search criteria for the documents to display in the viewer. For more information, see Search for PDF - Fields.

Note Report, journal, and register names are stored by module code. If you are searching for a report, journal, or register by its name, you must either type the module code before the name, or click the Lookup button in the Value field to select the name. For example, to search for the Accounts Receivable Customer Listing, locate the Report Name select field. In the Operand field, select Begins with. In the Value field, type A/R C (the beginning of "A/R Customer Listing").

  1. Click OK.

The selected PDF documents are displayed in the viewer window. The Search button is now displayed in red to indicate the documents displayed are filtered by the search results.

Note If you select a new company, document, form type, or document date at the top of the viewer window, the viewer display is refreshed and all search results are cleared. In Customer Viewer, the viewer is refreshed as soon as you select a new form type. In all other viewers, the viewer is refreshed when you click Refresh.
