This list box displays all user-defined fields (UDFs) in the table selected. To add a new UDF, click the Add button. To delete a field, select the field and click Delete. To edit the properties of a field, select the field and click Edit (or double-click the field).
The Status column shows whether a UDF is being added, modified, or if it will be deleted when you update your changes.
If the UDFs displayed in the list box are in a user-defined table (UDT), the first UDF listed is the key field for the UDT. To edit the description or key field length, select the field and click the Edit button. The length of the key field can only be increased.
Click the Undo button to revert the selected UDF back to its prior state.
You can create up to 1000 fields. The value that appears in the Bytes Used field at the top of the window indicates the number of bytes in use by fields already defined for the current table. This value cannot exceed 20,000. The value that appears in the Name Space Used field indicates the value for bytes used plus the lengths of all column names.
