Expand/Collapse item  Overview

You can add a custom folder tab, or delete a custom folder tab in the Folder Definition window. You can also edit the tab captions, colors, and widths. Tab panels are used to lay out a single page of a tabbed folder. You can edit the panels that are linked to custom folder tabs.

Note  You cannot delete or change the order of default tabs.

Use one of the following procedures to customize tabs and panels:

To add a new tab

  1. Select Custom Office Main menu > Customizer Selection.

  2. Select the panel to add tabs to. For more information, see Select a Panel.

  3. On the panel, double-click the appropriate folder to modify.

  4. In the Folder Definition window, click Add to add a new tab to the folder. The panel name for a new tab is designated as PNL_CMNEW_1, PNL_CMNEW_2 and so on. For more information, see Folder Definition - Fields.

  5. To change the default tab properties, select the tab from the Tabs list. In the Tab Caption and Tab Color fields, enter the tab caption and select a color. Click OK.

  6. To delete a custom folder tab, click Delete. To modify the arrangement of custom folder tabs, press the UP and DOWN arrow keys.

Note  The order of standard tabs cannot be modified.

  1. Click OK.

The tab is added to the folder. The panel associated with the new tab can only contain Customizer items such as external link buttons, text, frames, and UDFs. When a new tab is created, its corresponding panel automatically assumes the height and width of the largest existing panel in the folder.

Note  Only UDFs created for the library default business object can be added to a custom folder tab. For example, because AR_Customer_bus is the library default business object for Accounts Receivable Customer Maintenance panels, only UDFs created for AR_Customer_bus can be added to the custom folder tab in Accounts Receivable Customer Maintenance.
