Access this window using one of the following methods:

In a data entry window, in the Account No. field, press CTRL+F3.

In a data entry window, in the Account No. field, right-click and select Account Entry.

In a data entry window, in the Account No. field, enter an account number that does not exist. The Account Entry window appears automatically if:

One or more segments of the account number do not exist or are invalid (for example, you entered a main account that exists but has a status of inactive).

Use Account Entry to select an account by entering an account number or by entering values for the segments of an account.
If Yes or Prompt is selected in the Auto Create when all Segments are Valid field in the General Ledger Options window, you can create an account when a valid combination of a main account and subaccounts is entered but the account does not already exist. If No is selected at the Auto Create when all Segments are Valid field in the General Ledger Options window, the system will not automatically create accounts when a valid combination of a main account and subaccounts is entered. If you access the Account Entry window from a General Ledger data entry window and the appropriate options are selected in the General Ledger Options window, you can also add main and subaccounts in Account Maintenance.
