Select Inventory Management Main menu > Item Maintenance. In the Item Maintenance window, click the Extended Item Description button.

Overview

Use Item Text Maintenance to enter an extended description for an item. When an extended description is entered for a line item, "*Ext*" displays next to the Description field.
