Schedule a Task

Use this procedure to set up tasks to be processed unattended. Schedule the task to be processed once, or on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

 

Use one of the following methods to set up a scheduling job:

To schedule a one-time job

  1. Select Library Master Main menu > Task Scheduler.

  2. Enter the job name and description. For more information, see Task Scheduler – Fields.

  3. Enter information in the applicable fields on the Schedule tab.

  4. In the Schedule Job field, select Once.

  5. In the Start Date field, enter the date to run the job.

  6. In the Start Time field, type the time to run the job.

  7. Click the Tasks tab and enter information in the applicable fields.

  8. Perform one or all of the following:

  9. Click Accept to save the job.

  10. Click Run Now to run the job immediately.

  11. Click Log to print the Task Scheduler log.

The job runs automatically as scheduled to process the selected tasks.

 

To schedule a daily job

  1. Select Library Master Main menu > Task Scheduler.

  2. Enter the job name and description. For more information, see Task Scheduler – Fields.

  3. Enter information in the applicable fields on the Schedule tab.

  4. In the Schedule Job field, select Daily.

  5. In the Start Date field, enter the date for the schedule to start.

  6. In the End Date field, enter the date for the schedule to end.

  7. In the Start Time field, type the time to run the job.

  8. In the Every field, type the number of interval days to run the job. For example, type 2 to process the tasks every two days.

  9. Click the Tasks tab and enter information in the applicable fields.

  10. Perform one or all of the following:

  11. Click Accept to save the job.

  12. Click Run Now to run the job immediately.

  13. Click Log to print the Task Scheduler log.

The job runs automatically as scheduled to process the selected tasks.

 

To schedule a weekly job:

  1. Select Library Master Main menu > Task Scheduler.

  2. Enter the job name and description. For more information, see Task Scheduler – Fields.

  3. Enter information in the applicable fields on the Schedule tab.

  4. In the Schedule Job field, select Weekly.

  5. In the Start Date field, enter the date for the schedule to start.

  6. In the End Date field, enter the date for the schedule to end.

  7. In the Start Time field, type the time to run the job.

  8. In the Every field, type the number of interval weeks to run the job. For example, type 2 to process the tasks every two weeks.

  9. Select the check box(es) for the days of the week to run the job.

  10. Click the Tasks tab and enter information in the applicable fields.

  11. Perform one or all of the following:

  12. Click Accept to save the job.

  13. Click Run Now to run the job immediately.

  14. Click Log to print the Task Scheduler log.

The job runs automatically as scheduled to process the selected tasks.

 

To schedule a monthly job:

  1. Select Library Master Main menu > Task Scheduler.

  2. Enter the job name and description. For more information, see Task Scheduler – Fields.

  3. Enter information in the applicable fields on the Schedule tab.

  4. In the Schedule Job field, select Monthly.

  5. In the Start Date field, enter the date for the schedule to start.

  6. In the End Date field, enter the date for the schedule to end.

  7. In the Start Time field, type the time to run the job.

  8. In the Every month on the field, select the week of the month to run the job.

  9. Select the check box for the day of the week to run the job.

  10. Click the Tasks tab and enter information in the applicable fields.

  11. Perform one or all of the following:

  12. Click Accept to save the job.

  13. Click Run Now to run the job immediately.

  14. Click Log to print the Task Scheduler log.

The job runs automatically as scheduled to process the selected tasks.
