Transmitting Direct Deposit Transactions

The Payroll module includes two options for paying employees using direct deposit. If you subscribe to the Sage 100 direct deposit service, you don't need to send anything to your bank for each payroll run. Instead, you sync your payroll data using the service.

If you plan to use the method in which you generate an ACH file and manually send it to your bank for each payroll run, contact your bank for details about its direct deposit transmission requirements. You'll need this information when you enter settings in Direct Deposit Maintenance, which determines how the ACH file is formatted.

Depending on your bank's requirements, it may be possible to submit the direct deposit transactions by using a printed copy of the Direct Deposit Register rather than creating an ACH File.
