Select Payroll Main menu > Employee Maintenance. On the Employee Maintenance Main tab, click Deductions.

Overview

Use Voluntary Deduction Maintenance to enter voluntary deduction information (for example, insurance, credit union, or contributions) in employee records. This deduction information is based on the codes set up in Deduction Code Maintenance, and is used to calculate automatic deductions during payroll processing. You can also review employee quarter-to-date or year-to-date deduction totals for each deduction code.

Note The Deduction Type, Ded. Balance, and calculation method fields can only be viewed. Deduction code types and the calculation method can be changed using Deduction Code Maintenance.
