Use this procedure to process checks with a check date in the next quarter.

 

To process checks

  1. Select Payroll Main menu > Payroll Data Entry.

  2. In the Pay Cycle window, enter the default pay cycle values. Verify that the period-ending date is in the future period. For more information, see Pay Cycle - Fields.

    When a message stating that the check date is not in the current quarter appears and asks if you want to continue, click Yes.

  3. Continue to process your pay cycle as usual using either the Automatic Pay feature or individual entries. For more information about payroll data entry, see Perform Payroll Data Entry.

  4. Calculate taxes and run all necessary reports.

  5. Print the checks.

  6. Print and update the Check Register and Daily Transaction Register for the current payroll cycle.
