Select Payroll Setup menu > Deduction Code Maintenance. In the Deduction Code Maintenance window, select a deduction code and then click Earnings.

Note This window is available only for deductions that use the Percentage of Gross or the Based on Total Hours Worked calculation method.

Overview

Use Calculation Based on Earnings Types to calculate deductions based on specified earnings types. For example, you can set up a 401k deduction based on regular earnings only.
