Date Format

Order

Select an order option.

• Select MDY to use an order of month, date, year.

• Select DMY to use an order of date, month, year.

• Select YMD to use an order of year, month, date.

 

Day of Week

Select the day-of-the-week format. You can also select the separator character or characters to follow the day description.

• Select Long to use the full name for the day of the week.

• Select Short to use the abbreviation for the day of the week.

• Select None if you do not want to include the day of the week.

Month

Select the month format.

 Entry Sample

Select....	To....
1	display a one-digit month format
01	display a two-digit month format.
Jan	display a three-character description.
January	display the entire name of the month.
None	not display the month at all.

 

Day

Select the day format.

 Entry Sample

1	display a one-digit day format.
01	display a two-digit day format.
None	not display the day at all.

 

Year

Select the year format.

98	display a two-digit year format.
1998	display a four-digit year format.
None	not display the year at all.

 

 

Separators

Type the separator character or characters for the first and second segment of the date. You can use any printable characters up to 15 characters.
