 Overview

You can perform a test import or export process and view the results. This allows you to identify and correct any problems before performing the actual import or export process.

 

To test an export job

1. Select Visual Integrator Main menu > Import Job Maintenance or Export Job Maintenance. The Import Job Selection or Export Job Selection window appears automatically.

2. Enter a job name and table name, and then click Accept. For more information, see Import Job Selection - Fields or Export Job Selection - Fields.

3. In the Import Job Maintenance or Export Job Maintenance window, enter the job information and click Accept. When prompted to prepare the job, click Yes.

4. When prompted to execute the job, click Yes. The Import Job or Export Job window appears.

5. Click Test. The Import Test or Job Test window appears. Enter the number of records to test, or select the All Records check box. For more information, see Import Test - Fields or Job Test - Fields.

6. Click OK. When the test is complete, the Import Summary or Export Summary window appears. To view the job log, click Yes. The Job Log displays each record and the results of the test.

The job test is completed.
