Scheduling

Scheduling determines when each step of a work order should be started and how long each step takes to complete. The time requirements for each work order are recorded by work center to provide the number of hours committed for each day. The "infinite" loading technique is used to allow each work order to be scheduled independently. When a work order is scheduled, a planned start date is assigned to each step of the work order. You are able to monitor the progress of a work order by checking the planned start date against actual dates when operations are performed.
