Expand/Collapse item  Overview

Data in the Data View grid can be grouped by column. Subgroups can also be assigned.

To group data

  1. Select Business Insights Explorer menu, and then select a view.

  2. In the Business Insights Explorer window, in the Data View Grid, click and drag the column header to the Group-By panel. Be sure not to drag the column header outside of the Group-By panel area. Doing so hides the column from view.

Note If the Group-By panel is not visible, click the Group-By Panel button on the Business Insights Explorer toolbar.

The data in the Data View grid is grouped.

To ungroup a column header, click and drag the column header off the Group-By panel. It is not necessary to drag it back to its original location in the Data View grid.
