Default Values for Disassembly Entry

Next Disassembly Number

Type the next disassembly entry number to use. This value can be saved as the default next entry number in Disassembly Entry for the current data entry session, as well as future sessions.

 

Disassembly Date

Enter a disassembly date, or click the Calendar button to select a date from the calendar. This value can be saved as the default disassembly date in Disassembly Entry for the current data entry session only.

 

Effective Date

Enter the effective date, or click the Calendar button to select a date from the calendar. This value can be saved as the default disassembly effective date in Disassembly Entry for the current data entry session only. All engineering changes through the date specified will be included. This field is available only if the Enable Engineering Change Control check box is selected in the Bill of Materials Options window.

 

Disassembly Type

Select the default disassembly type for disassembly entries. This value can be saved as the default type in Disassembly Entry for the current data entry session, as well as future sessions.

  • Select Produced Item for disassembly of a manufactured item and to return its components to stock.
  • Select Purchased Item for disassembly of a purchased item and to salvage its component parts.
  • Select Production Reversal to reverse previously posted production entries. Scrap and yield percentages are factored in the calculation of the extended quantity on this type only.

 

Parent Warehouse

Enter a warehouse code for the default parent warehouse, or click the Lookup button to list all warehouse codes. This warehouse is used to record the inventory location of the disassembled product. If the Require Multiple Warehouses check box is cleared in the Inventory Management Options window, this field displays the default parent warehouse, and can only be viewed. This value can be saved as the default parent warehouse in Disassembly Entry for the current data entry session, as well as future sessions.

 

Component Warehouse

Enter a warehouse code for the default component warehouse, or click the Lookup button to list all warehouse codes. This warehouse is used to record the inventory location of the component items that are returned to stock. If the Require Multiple Warehouses check box is cleared in the Inventory Management Options window, this field displays the default component warehouse, and can only be viewed. This value can be saved as the default component warehouse in Disassembly Entry for the current data entry session, as well as future sessions.

 

Explode Sub-Assemblies

Select this check box to explode subassemblies by default. Clear this check box if you do not want to explode subassemblies for disassembly entries. This value can be saved as the default value in Disassembly Entry for the current data entry session, as well as future sessions.
