Use this procedure to define units of measure to be used for stocking, purchasing, and sales of inventory items.

 

To define a unit of measure

  1. Select Common Information Setup menu > Unit of Measure Conversion Maintenance.

  2. In the Unit of Measure field, enter the type of measurement to define as the multiple of smaller units of measure. For example, enter CASE in this field. For more information, see Unit of Measure Conversion Maintenance - Fields.

  3. In the grid, enter the unit name and conversion factors of the smaller unit of measure you are converting to. For example, enter EACH with a factor of 12.

  4. Click Accept.

The unit of measure has been defined.
