Option Selection

Bill Number

This field displays the current bill number, and can only be viewed.

 

Revision

This field displays the revision number for the current bill, and can only be viewed.

 

Option Category

This field displays the option category assigned to the bill number selected, and can only be viewed.

 

Required

This check box is selected for any categories defined as required in the Bill of Materials Maintenance window, and can only be viewed.

Note In Sales Order Entry, if a nonstocked sales kit is entered, the component items required for each option are added to the order automatically (in addition to the standard components for the sales kit). After the sales kit line entry is completed, you cannot change the options information.

 

Option

Enter an option code to use, or click the Lookup button to list all defined option codes. The Lookup button is available only if one or more option codes are defined for the option category. Up to nine separate categories of options can be specified. You must enter an option code for any option categories defined as Required in Bill of Materials Maintenance.

When you enter the option code, the first line of the option description appears. As each option code is entered, you are advanced to the Option field for the next option category.

 

Option Description

This field displays the description of the option code selected in the Option field, and can only be viewed.
