Use the following procedure to select multiple data sources for a user-defined field.

Note The Duplicate Row button, located to the right of the grid, allows you to add a duplicate row to the grid. This button is available only for a business object (_bus) object.

 

To select multiple data sources

  1. Select Custom Office Main menu > User-Defined Field and Table Maintenance.

  2. Select the module's table, and click the Edit Fields button. For more information, see User-Defined Table Maintenance - Fields.

  3. In the User-Defined Fields window, click the Add button. For more information, see User-Defined Fields - Fields.

  4. In the Add Field window:

  1. Enter the Field Name and Description fields. For more information, see Add Field - Fields.

  2. At the Source field, select the Business Object option.

  3. Select the business object, data source, and column to add, and then click OK.

  1. In the second Add Field window that appears, click the Data Sources tab, and select the data sources in the grid.

  2. For example, for AR Customer Master table and the AR_Customer_bus object, select CountryCode for the data source and CountryName for the column.

  1. Click the Duplicate Row button.

  2. For example, for the AR_Customer_bus object, select PrimaryShipToCode for the data source and ShipToName for the column.

Note To select multiple data sources, the columns selected must have the same maximum length.

  1. Click OK.

Multiple data sources have been selected for the added UDF.
