You can test whether Script Host processor is installed on your system. You must have the Microsoft Windows Script Host Processor installed on your system to run MS Script links.

Create a custom panel with a link to the test script

  1. Select Custom Office Main menu > Customizer Selection. Select the panel to test the script host processor in. For more information, see Select a Panel.

  2. On the Customizer Toolbar, click the Add External Link button.

  3. On a blank area of the panel, click and drag to create a new link control button.

  4. In the External Link Definition window, in the Text field, type MS TEST. For more information, see External Link Definition - Fields.

  5. Click the Link Settings tab. In the Type field, select MS Script.

  6. In the Language field, select one of the following:

    • Select VBScript to use the Visual Basic scripting language.

    • Select JScript to use the JavaScript scripting language.

    • Select PvxScript to use the ProvideX scripting language.

  7. In the File Name field, click the Browse Files button. The Java Script File Name window or VB Script Name window appears.

    • If you are testing VBScript, select the test.vbs file from the ...\CM\SCRIPT folder. Click Open.

    • If you are testing Jscript, select the test.vbs file from the ...\CM\SCRIPT folder. Click Open.

    • If you are testing PvxScript, select the test.pvs file from the ...\CM\SCRIPT folder. Click Open.

  8. In the External Link Definition window, click OK.

  9. Click the Exit button on the Customizer Toolbar to exit the panel. The system prompts you to save your changes. Click Yes.  

  10. Open the module and panel that the script link control was created for.

  11. Click the MS TEST button.

If the Script Host processor is installed, a dialog box displays the current company, user, module code, and module date. An error message appears if the Script Host is not installed. For information on installing the MS Windows Script Host processor, refer to the Microsoft Download Center Web site.
