Deleting Inactive or Discontinued Items

 

You can delete inactive or discontinued items to clear space for new item records. Inventory item records cannot be deleted if their quantity on hand is greater than zero, if a physical count is in process, or if current warehouse or transaction detail is on file. If the eBusiness Manager module is installed and an inventory item is included in a shopping cart order that has not been updated, the item cannot be deleted or renumbered. An item also cannot be deleted if there are any open sales orders, purchase orders, work tickets, sales kits, or bills that use the item.
