Enter the kit item code for the sales kit to add or maintain, or click the Lookup button to list all sales kits. Click the List Inventory Items button to list all inventory items. Click the Alias Item button to list all alias item codes.
Alternately, start typing an item description to locate an item. As you type, a list of records matching your entry appears. You can then select an item from the list, and the item code will appear in the field.
The kit item code is the item code of a kit-type item. If this kit item code has been previously entered, the kit information originally recorded appears, and can be modified. If the kit item code entered does not exist, the new kit item code can be added as an inventory item. If the kit item code entered has not been defined but represents an inventory item, add the new kit item code.
Click the Memo button to view, create, or maintain memos. The Memo button is available only if the appropriate memo type has been set up in Memo Manager Maintenance for this task. If a memo already exists for this task, the Memo button appears yellow. If a memo does not exist, the Memo button appears blue. For more information, see Memo Maintenance.
Type a description for the sales kit.
Click the Item Text Maintenance button to view and maintain extended inventory item descriptions in Item Text Maintenance. If there is no extended description entered for an item, the Item Text Maintenance button appears blue. If an extended description is entered for the item, the Item Text Maintenance button appears yellow. For more information, see Item Text Maintenance.
Select this check box to print sales kit component items in detail on a sales order or invoice. Clear this check box to print only the sales kit item code and description without any component item detail.
Note This only applies if the sales kit is exploded on a sales order or invoice.

This field displays the number of the selected row in the primary grid. Additional fields for the selected row appear in the secondary grid. Enter a row number to view or edit information for a different row, or click the Find Row button to search for a row in the Search Grid window.

Right-click this field and select Item Quantity Inquiry to view quantity on hand information by warehouse.
To view the Comments List, type /C and press F2.
A new item or alias item can be added on the fly if the appropriate security is set up. A window similar to the Alias Item Number Maintenance window or the Item Maintenance window appears; however, some non-essential fields are omitted to speed data entry. You can access Alias Item Number Maintenance or Item Maintenance at a later time to complete the remaining entries for the new alias item or inventory item.
Type the quantity of this component required to complete one sales kit. The placement of the decimal is based on the entry format set up in Common Information Options.
Note To accommodate component items whose use varies with each order, you can override the quantity per kit using Sales Order Entry if the Sales Order module is installed. To accomplish this, enter a zero quantity for each variable-use item. The actual quantity can then be entered during data entry.
