Use Item Renumber to assign a new item code to an existing item. This can be done only if no activity is recorded for the item. An item code cannot be changed if a physical count is in process, any items are frozen, or if Transaction Entry has started but not yet updated. Also, an item code cannot be changed if detail exists.
Note This option should be used only to correct input errors during the original setup. Use Delete and Change Items utility after the initial setup.
