Lot/Serial Inquiry

Lot/Serial Number

Enter a lot or serial number, or click the Lookup button to list all lot or serial numbers.

Use the Browse buttons to browse through the records.

 

Lot/Serial Inquiry List Box

This list box displays transaction information for the selected lot or serial number. The columns in the list box will vary depending on whether the window is accessed from the Inventory Management Main menu, the Invoice History Inquiry window, or the Sales Order Entry Copy From window.

The buttons to the right of the list box vary depending on how you accessed the window and whether you purchased Sage 100 through a subscription plan.

Subscription plan:

  • Search button: Click this button to open the Search for Lot/Serial Transactions window to enter additional search criteria. The Search button is available only after entering a lot or serial number.
  • History Inquiry button: If you accessed the window from the Inventory Management Main menu, click the Zoom button to drill down to the invoice or receipt document for the selected transaction. The Zoom button is available only for Sales Order and Purchase Order transactions.
  • Where Used Inquiry button: If you accessed the window from the Inventory Management Main menu, click this button to trace where the selected item was used as a component in either a sales kit or a bill. This button is available for Sales Order invoice and Production Entry transactions.
  • Export to Excel: Select a row and click this button to export the contents of the list box to Microsoft Excel. The button is available if Excel is installed on your computer and you have the appropriate security setup.

Non-subscription plan:

  • Search button: Click this button to open the Search for Lot/Serial Transactions window to enter additional search criteria. The Search button is available only after entering a lot or serial number.
  • Zoom button: If you accessed the window from the Inventory Management Main menu, click the Zoom button to drill down to the invoice or receipt document for the selected transaction. The Zoom button is available only for Sales Order and Purchase Order transactions.
  • Export to Excel: Select a row and click this button to export the contents of the list box to Microsoft Excel. The button is available if Excel is installed on your computer and you have the appropriate security setup.
