Count Card Entry

Count Card Number

Enter a count card number, or click the Lookup button to list all count card numbers. Click the Next Count Card Number button to use the next available count card number. The next available number is defined in Inventory Management Options. Also, you can update the next available number using the Default Values for Count Card Entry window.

Quick Row

This field displays the number of the selected row in the primary grid. Additional fields for the selected row appear in the secondary grid. Enter a row number to view or edit information for a different row, or click the Find Row button to search for a row in the Search Grid window.

Line Number

This field displays the line number in the grid and can only be viewed. The line number appears red for lines that are new or modified. After the Accept button is clicked, the line number changes from red to black.

 

Warehouse

Enter a warehouse code, or click the Lookup button to list all warehouse codes. If the Require Multiple Warehouses check box is selected in Inventory Management Options, the default warehouse selected in the Default Values for Count Card Entry window appears in this field, but it can be changed. This field is not available if the Require Multiple Warehouses check box is cleared in Inventory Management Options.

 

Item Code

Enter an item code, or click the Lookup button to list all item codes.

Alternately, start typing an item description to locate an item. As you type, a list of records matching your entry appears. You can then select an item from the list, and the item code will appear in the field.

Only standard inventory items can be entered.

 

Lot/Serial No.

Enter a lot or serial number, or click the Lookup button to list all lot or serial numbers for the selected item code.

If Yes is selected in the Include All Lot/Serial Numbers field in the Default Values for Count Card Entry window, all available lot or serial numbers for the entered item code will be displayed on separate lines, and this field can only be viewed.

If Prompt is selected in the Include All Lot/Serial Numbers field in the Default Values for Count Card Entry window, a message will appear asking if you want to include all lot or serial numbers for the entered item code. Click Yes to display all lot or serial numbers on separate lines; if you click Yes, this field can only be viewed.

This field is available only if a lot or serial tracked item code is entered in the Item Code field.

 

Expiration Date

If you're adding a new lot or item with a serial number, enter the expiration date or click the Calendar button to select a date from the calendar. For existing lots or items with serial numbers, this field can only be viewed.

This field is available if the Track Lot/Serial Expiration Dates check box is selected in Item Maintenance.

 

Quantity Counted

Type the quantity counted for the selected item code. The quantity must be a positive number. The number of decimal places allowed is based on the value entered in the (Number of Decimal Places in) Quantity Entries field in Common Information Options. For serial-tracked items, you cannot enter a quantity greater than 1.

 

Count Card Comment

Type a comment to print on the Count Card Report.

 

Description

This field displays the item description and can only be viewed.

 

Bin Location

This field displays the bin location and can only be viewed if a record for the warehouse and item combination exists in the Item Warehouse file. If no record exists in that file, you can type a bin location.

 

U/M Used for Count

Select the unit of measure used for the count. This field defaults to the unit of measure entered in the Default Values for Count Card Entry window.

 

Standard U/M

This field displays the item's actual unit of measure based on what is selected in the U/M Used for Count field. For example, if Sales is selected in the U/M Used for Count field, the field displays the item's sales unit of measure. This field can only be viewed.

 

Inventory Cycle

This field displays the item's inventory cycle and can only be viewed.

 

Product Line

This field displays the item's product line and can only be viewed.

 

Product Type

This field displays the item's product type and can only be viewed.

 

Procurement

This field displays the item's procurement type and can only be viewed.
