Enter a category code, or click the Lookup button to list all category codes.
Type a description for the category. This is a required field.
Select a category type to determine who can view the category.
Select .order to allow only .order customers to view the category.
Select .store to allow only .store customers to view the category.
Select Both to allow both .order and .store customers to view the category.
Select this check box to make the category a top (parent) category. Only top categories are initially displayed on the Internet tree view. Clear this check box if the category is a subcategory.
Enter an image file name for the category, or click the Browse File button to browse for an image file. Only file names with a .bmp, .jpg, or .gif extension can be entered in this field. Image files are stored in the MAS90\Images\xxx folder (where xxx is the company code) on the Application Server and are published to the IIS. Because all image files reside in the same IIS location, image file names must be unique system-wide.
Warning When .bmp image files are used on a Web page, performance is extremely slow. Use .jpg or .gif files for faster page-rendering performance.
Click the Show Image button to preview the image. If you are using Sage 100 Advanced, the Show Image button is available only if you entered a UNC path to the Application Server during Workstation Setup. For more information, refer to your Sage 100 Installation Guide.
Type the text to display with the category on your Products and Services Web page. The short description can be up to 200 characters; however, you can also enter a long category description in the Long Description field.
