Use Item Pricing Maintenance to establish and maintain a set of item price codes to be used in estimating when calculating costs and prices. An item can be a labor rate or a material item in inventory, or it can represent an "assembly" of material, labor, and other costs necessary to complete a component of the job. You can enter up to 12 items for an assembly to specify the different material, labor, and other costs associated with a component of the job. The total cost of an assembly is calculated automatically based on the unit cost of all its individual items.
You can specify the "take off" unit of measure, standard cost code, cost type, costing unit of measure, unit cost, and markup information for each item. A conversion factor can be specified to convert item quantities from the "take off" unit of measure to the costing unit of measure.
Note You cannot enter an assembly item as an item for another assembly.
