Default Values for Receipt of Goods Entry

Next Receipt Number

Type the next receipt number to use. This value can be saved as the default next receipt number in Receipt of Goods Entry for the current data entry session, as well as future sessions.

 

Receipt Date

Enter a receipt date, or click the Calendar button to select a date from the calendar. The date entered is printed on the receipt of goods and reports for this group of receipts. This value can be saved as the default order date in Receipt of Goods Entry for the current data entry session only.

 

Required Date

Enter the required date, or click the Calendar button to select a date from the calendar. This value can be saved as the default required date in Receipt of Goods Entry for the current data entry session only.

 

Ship-To Address

Enter a ship-to address, or click the Lookup button to list all ship-to address codes. Ship-to address codes are created in the Ship-To Address Maintenance window.

 

Warehouse

Enter a warehouse code, or click the Lookup button to list all warehouse codes. This field displays the warehouse entered in the Default Warehouse for Purchase Orders field in the Purchase Order Options window.

Note If you entered a ship-to address that has a different default warehouse set up in Ship-To Address Maintenance, the warehouse from Ship-To Address Maintenance will be used instead of the one entered in this field.

This option is available only if the Inventory Management module is integrated with Purchase Order and the Require Multiple Warehouses check box is selected in the Inventory Management Options window.

 

Ship Via

Enter the shipping method (for example, U.S. mail, air freight, or truck) for the items, or click the Lookup button to list all shipping codes. If the Sales Order module is installed, you can enter a shipping code from the Shipping Rate file.

Note If you entered a ship-to address that has a different default ship-via code set up in Ship-To Address Maintenance, the ship-via code from Ship-To Address Maintenance will be used instead of the one entered in this field.

 

FOB

Type the FOB (freight on board) location if goods are placed on board a freight carrier at the point of shipment at no charge from the vendor.

Note If you entered a ship-to address that has a different default FOB location set up in Ship-To Address Maintenance, the FOB location from Ship-To Address Maintenance will be used instead of the one entered in this field.
